Introducing PlayStation Move
Introducing PlayStation Move
By now you may have seen the update on new PlayStation 3 motion controller, via live video stream at GDC. In case you missed it, let us introduce you to "PlayStation Move".
"Move"controller prototype was first introduced at E3 in 2009 and now ready with the final design, along with an early look at just a few of the upcoming games. The upcoming games are designed to appeal to all PlayStation 3 fans, social games such as ‘Sports Champions’ and ‘Move Party’ (both working titles),and DUKES and EA’s Tiger Woods 2010 will keep more serious gamers in mind. SEC has promised the PlayStation Move experience will offer our players a fun, high definition and immersive gaming experience.

You will be able to get involved with PlayStation Move in several ways:
● Camera + controller (including a “starter disc” with a range of demos for games releasing later in the year)
● A single controller for people who already have a PlayStation Eye camera
● A full console pack which includes PS3, dualshock3, Move controller + camera
● Finally some of our biggest games will be available with a Move controller included

How the PlayStation Move is not a Wii Remote?
Both devices will use inductor to track movements, but the similarities end there. Move uses a spherical light which is tracked by the camera in concert with internal sensors. Wiil on the other hand uses sensor bar above TV to track the entirety of the player’s body. The pitch: It’s far more accurate than Nintendo’s Wii remote, so it will appeal to hardcore gamers who play difficult games, not just casual gamers who enjoy party games.
